About the event
This International Overdose Awareness Day, SAPWUD is hosting their first annual candlelight vigil to honour the many lives lost to so-called Canada's unregulated drug supply. This genocidal war on people who use drugs has led to over 36,000 casualties, and our loved ones continue to perish to overdose deaths directly attributed to so-called Canada's failing prohibitionist drug policies.
Please join us at Dundonald Park (516 Somerset St W, Ottawa) from 8 pm to 10 pm on August 31st, 2023, as we unite to light candles and pay tribute to those we have lost. Candles and refreshments will be provided for all attendees. All are welcome to join.
